"Just get em out of here, I haven't got time for this" - the reaction you get when you ask for a refund after two engines you've bought both failed. One of which was a replacement for the first. I've given three stars because we've been there a few times and the product range is good, but I don't have a lot of good things to say about the service and the overall attitude of SOME members of the staff. We probably won't shop there again.

Purchased a book for my grandson on Sunday. When I got home I realised that I’d picked up the wrong title in the series. Went back this morning to exchange it. Which they did, even though they said they don’t normally exchange books. That’s fine but the person that served me was very unfriendly. I had planned to take grandson there to have him choose his Xmas gift but have now decided not to.

I had never seen this shop before and I went in to buy a train book. Curiously for a retail store it had a sign saying don’t touch the books… I wonder how they sell them? I overheard a customer asking a question and the staff were the rudest I’d ever heard in a shop before. Avoid!!

I mainly do online shopping from here these days, I do try and visit the store in person whenever I'm in Melbourne. If you drive there park at the shops around the corner if not public transport drops you very close by.

Wide variety of stocks of locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars and structures, mainly HO scale. If you are a train model enthusiast, you can spend hours here. I was glad to find and buy a used pictorial book of A. T. & Santa Fe among the store’s plenty of railroad used book inventory. Will definitely come back to this wonderful model store next time I have a chance to visit Melbourne.
